Our Little Pudding Pop

Just wanted to post a few pictures of Mary Bishop really enjoying her pudding that she had for dessert the other night. She definitely prefers "Chocolate" over "Vanilla"!!! That's my girl!!! She had so much fun eating the pudding with her spoon at first.....then she discovered it tasted even better with her sweet little hands!! Needless to say, we headed straight to the big girl tub after this pudding palooza! But oh what sweet memories!! Enjoy!!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house :) !! Mary Bishop is loving all of the lights and the gifts under the tree more than I want her too!! She has not been that interested in the tree as much as I thought...she just likes to push the presents all around the house and try to pull the bows off! I keep telling her those are Daddy's but she just grins and continues to sit on top of the present or push it around until someone stops her. She is too funny! We took her Saturday to pick out a Christmas tree at Midsouth Nursery here in Tupelo. She was a sweetie and was obsessed with the "Choo Choo Train" that they had inside. She says "Choo Choo" and it makes me smile....of course everything she says makes me smile. It was a fun weekend at home with our little family. We are so blessed to have a beautiful, sweet, and healthy baby girl this holiday season. We hope your family is blessed as well!

Way Too Long....

Well, we have fallen out of the blog world for quite some time!! It's been way too long!! Not even going to try to catch up just going to post some pictures that should have been put up a long time ago! Update on Miss Priss......she is almost 15 months old and we are still not walking!! She will stand alone forever and side step around everything....but.....no walking! Guess like everything else she will do it in her own time. No walking but boy are we TALKING!! This is non-stop!! She talks herself to sleep and talks when she is waking up....all day!!! She is saying words like... "ake" for Drake, "ommy" for Mommy, She has "DaDa" down pat, and "no" of course, shoe, "ap" for map...gotta love Dora for that one...and lots and lots of jibberish...It sure is sweet to hear her voice. We are so truly blessed.

Beach Trip Day 5!

I think Mary Bishop is loving the beach life...we might just relocate!! Would anyone come visit us at the beach?? :) We spent a couple of hours on the beach and then headed to the outlet mall. I must say I have a great little shopper on my hands and I can see us getting into trouble in the future! Just kidding! The girls enjoyed a nice shopping trip and of course Miss Priss won the award for most purchases...but hey, I love a bargain. We enjoyed Destin Commons last night and Mary Bishop loved watching all of the kids in the splash pad! Just think...next year that will be her running around in the water! Wow! We had a late night again but tons of fun and my little night owl is snoozing the day away today! Almost forgot....we attempted beach pictures in all white...she was not in a good mood but she still looked precious in her dress from Gram! We love it! Thanks so much!

Beach Trip Day 4!

We have laughed so hard on this trip at Mary Bishop and all of her "talking"...she loves to stand on the couch and just jabber away to anyone!! Our condo has mirrors everywhere so she has been fascinated at talking and looking at herself. It is too funny to watch! We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Another Broken Egg. Mary Bishop had grits and orange slices....a site to see! We enjoyed an afternoon on the beach and then headed to SEASIDE!!! We bought Mary Bishop her 1st SEASIDE t-shirt (pink of course). She loved listening to the music and eating a yummy dinner there. I can't wait to actually stay there when she's a little older and watch her riding bikes and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere at SEASIDE! What wonderful memories!!

Beach Trip Day 3!

Another eventful day on the beach! The girls played on the beach all day while Ben and Uncle Alan played a round of golf. Mary Bishop was awesome!! She loved her little pool that Aunt Cysha gave her and she played in it all day long!! I was able to walk with her on the beach in the late afternoon and have her fall asleep to the sound of the waves on my shoulder this time :) !! We enjoyed a great dinner at Stinky's Fish Camp although it was a little late for the princess. We are having so much fun and we hope you are enjoying our pictures.

We had another wonderful day at the beach. It was cloudy yesterday afternoon so we decided to head with Cynthia and Alan to Grand Blvd. to do some shopping and to check out the Tommy Bahama Bar. Mary Bishop was so excited that Aunt Cysha and Uncle Alan were here to entertain! After the Grand Blvd. we headed to Baytowne to eat at Acme Oyster Bar. It was sooo very good! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and Mary Bishop loved checking out the boats on the water. Hope you enjoy our pictures from day two! ** posting pictures of MB falling asleep on Ben's shoulders for two days in a row!! What a sweet site to behold!

Beach Trip Day 1 !

What a wonderful first day at the beach! I was really scared that we might not even see the beach this trip....boy was I in for a pleasant surprise! We headed down to the beach first thing this morning and set up a playground under the umbrella. Mary Bishop did very well playing just like she does at home. We decided to walk down the beach to enjoy the beautiful weather and she loved looking at all of the people in the ocean....she's a bit nosey I might add...hmmm wonder where she gets that?? The water was beautiful today and the sand was white as snow. Mary Bishop seemed to be very relaxed, as a matter of fact too relaxed. She fell asleep on our walk on her Daddy's shoulder! You should have seen me running like a mad woman to get our camera. It was too precious not to capture. We are having so much fun! Ben's Birthday Cookies!!

Ben celebrated his 28th birthday on June 20th. Mary Bishop and I wanted to do something special, so I asked Shannon Willcutt to bake some of her precious cookies for us. They could not have turned out any cuter. Thank you so much Shannon for your darling ideas. We look forward to eating many more Cookie Mama cookies! P.S. A Little Taste of Ice Cream...

We love summer at our house....and summer means swimming, golf (for daddy), and lots of ICE CREAM!! We let Mary Bishop have her first little taste a couple of weekends ago. I had to post a picture because It is one of my all time favorite pictures of her precious little profile! Hmmm......just posting about this makes me want to make some good ole homemade ice cream!!! I took a few pictures of Mary Bishop one afternoon while I was attempting to clean and organize her closet. I just had to put this tutu on her and she her reaction. She surprisingly didn't mind it at all! Too funny and too cute! She is my little baby doll and I love playing dress up with her! Hope she really does want to wear a tutu and take ballet one day! Our First Swim!

Mary Bishop and I were able to spend a couple of days with my mom a.k.a "Granna" while I had my car fixed in Columbus. We had a few hours of beautiful weather so I just had to get Miss Priss in the swimming pool. She was a little unsure at first but ended up loving it! Where to start?? I have been so busy with the end of the school year that I have neglected to blog! Well, summer is here and I plan on playing catch up on the blog site! So much has happened that I'm sure I'll leave something out. I'll try my best though!! Our little angel is 8 months old now! So much has happened this week that is has made me think I'm so not ready for our little girl to grow up so fast!!! She is now crawling, sitting up, and Ben and I found her on her knees in the baby bed last night. Needless to say, we had to lower the crib and it broke my heart!!! She is so much fun and has really gotten a little personality :) ! She loves drinking water from her sippee cup....she thinks it's funny when the water is really cold and runs down her shirt! She is saying "dada" all day long and other precious sounds. She thinks she is really saying something! She is the light of our lives and we hope you enjoy the pictures!!

7 Months Old!

I know I'm weeks behind on blogging but we finally have a computer now!! Man, I've missed having one! Please excuse the new posts...I'm just really behind on posting pictures of Mary Bishop. She turned 7 months old the Saturday of our sweet nephew Conner's birthday party in Birmingham. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed seeing our family and Birmingham friends. Mary Bishop decided to sleep through half of the party but when she woke up she was a little ham! She is now teething like crazy!! As I type this, she is running fever and is not sleeping well at all! So it's been a long week at the Curtis home. She is so funny when she eats too! She thinks she has to put the spoon in her mouth or all 10 fingers! Needless to say dinner time is no longer a clean and neat process!! She is almost on her knees so I know the crawling won't be far behind :( ! I'm emotional about her getting her first tooth too...imagine that huh! Enough of me rambling...hope you enjoy the pics!

6 Months Old!

I know I'm a little late on posting for Mary Bishop's 6 month check-up! But, better late than never! I took Mary Bishop for her 6 month shots and check-up and Ben and I made bets on how much our little sweet cheeks weighed. I thought 18 lbs. and Ben said 20! We were both wrong! She weighed 17.9 and was 26 inches long. Although she has some beautiful full cheeks the doctor said she was very proportional for her age :) ! Here are some new things Miss Priss is up to these days....eating every type of vegetable and fruit and loving it, rolling over and over again and again, bouncing in the jump a roo (thanks Conner!), sitting with help, talking (jabbering) non stop, smiling, laughing, screaming and squeeling, sitting in the stroller like a big girl, loves a bath ( likes sucking on the rag the most) a clean one...don't worry!, growing out of some clothes faster than I can blink! I'm sure I'm leaving a few things out. She is doing so much better with the whole teething thing and sleeping through the night again!! Yeah!! We enjoy every minute with her! She is just growing way too fast! We are so blessed that she has been healthy and happy! We love you baby girl!

Ben LOVES his baby doll! We both are so in love with this little girl that words can't even express how we feel. I had to post these pictures and tell you the sweet story behind them. We were watching the inauguration balls on t.v. when Ben saw President Obama and First Lady Michelle dancing and he decided to take Mary Bishop for a little spin. What do I do?? Of course I'm in tears and Ben is just dancing around the living room with his little princess! I hope she will always have such a close relationship with her daddy!

Mary Bishop's First Thanksgiving

We celebrated Mary Bishop's first Thanksgiving in Columbus with the family! Wednesday night we spent the night with Pops and Gram (Ben's parents). We had a great time visiting with Jenny, Zack, and of course our sweet little man Conner. He is everywhere! Mary Bishop on the other hand, slept through her first Thanksgiving dinner! I was "thankful" though!! Thursday night we stayed with Pop and Granna (my parents). We ate of course...again....and enjoyed watching Mary Bishop play on her play mat. She is attempting to roll on her side....I can't believe it! She is almost 3 months old and we are loving every day...minus the tummy episodes! Still getting that under control! But hey, she sleeps through the night so we are THANKFUL! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Now if I could only get the house decorated for Christmas! I'll be working on that while the princess sleeps!

Mary Bishop's First Beach Trip

Ben and I just celebrated our two year anniversary and we decided to make a trip to the beach with Mary Bishop to celebrate. Thanks to my parents for the great condo, food, and fun! We are so thankful that we were able to celebrate your birthday too Mike! Mary Bishop was such a little trooper. She did really well in the car and even let us eat out a few nights! Mary Bishop had such a fun first Halloween! She was a "sweet pea"! Thanks Gram for remaking the hat to fit her little pumpkin head! We just loved her little outfit! We had a big time traveling around Tupelo with our good friends Trey, Courtney, and baby Mac. Sorry Katie and Talmadge that we didn't make it over! Our little "sweet pea" was pooped after a few rounds! We did have some cute trick-or-treaters this year! Jake and John Luke Marlin are always a treat! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Pop's Birthday at Darden!

This past weekend our family got together at Darden. My brother-in-law's family owns a lake house there and we always enjoy spending time there when we can. Since today is my father's birthday, we celebrated it Saturday night out there. Blair and I were a bit anxious to take Mary Bishop because this would be her first night to stay somewhere else besides our house. I guess you could call it her first "mini vacation." So.... we packed every thing but the kitchen sink for this girl. Swing, diapers, clothes, more clothes, more diapers, wipes, etc., etc. Enough for her to be comfortable for a week. Keep in mind we are only staying one night!!! We got there with no troubles. She slept the whole way...but Blair kept saying, "Ben I feel like we are forgetting something." Just the nerves I told her...first time away from the house. Don't worry! But what did we forget....OUR STUFF! No mommy and daddy clothes, toothbrushes, etc.! Boy have our priorities changed! We still had the best time and enjoyed celebrating my dad's birthday. We hope he has many more with these little ones and we hope he knows just how much he is loved! He has waited a long time to become a "Pops" and we think he's the best!! We love you dad!

One Month...My How Time Flies!

Good grief how time flies! It has been an interesting and very eventful month at the Curtis household. I am enjoying being a mommy even more than I expected. No lie, it has been tough, but so very worth it. I can't even begin to tell you how blessed Ben and I have been with all of the help and support of our friends and family. I don't even know where to begin on the "Thank You's". From Granna and Gram, Pop and Pops, Je-Je and Uncle Z, Aunt Cysha, AT and Nannie, to all of our small group friends and co-workers, we owe you some major "Thanks!!". All of the long nights that turned into mornings, the wonderful food, and the reassurance that we are doing something right and we are good parents is greatly appreciated. I'm a little sad that time flies like it does but I hear it only gets better. Mary Bishop is growing in so many ways. Her cries are so different, she grins..and it's not always gas! She has a million faces, is working on taking a "paci" and a bottle from her daddy, makes the sweetest sounds, shows us her beautiful eyes a lot more, and is sleeping fairly well. If only we could get rid of those terrible gas pains!! I've tried Mylicon but that seems to work only for a short bit. We will eventually get it under control. It just kills my soul to see her in pain. Overall, it has been the best month of our lives...WE ARE SO BLESSED!

Just going to post some new pics of our sweet little angel. It has been two wonderful but tiring weeks. She went to the doctor today and got a great report. She now weighs nine pounds and is 21 inches long. We are so thankful that our little girl is healthy and growing. We hope you enjoy the pictures more will most certainly follow.

On Wednesday night at 10:15 Blair's water broke and we were off to the hospital. And she was finally helped along at about 7 Thursday morning and we finally got the chance to see our precious baby girl at 1:23 on September 4. I told Blair that it was obviously a teachers daughter because she came on the due date and could not be tardy. Mary Bishop Curtis weighed 7lbs. 10ozs. and she was 19 3/4 inches long. She also has a head full of black hair. I hope that everyone enjoys the pics there will be more to come.

School Shower

Just wanted to share a few pics from my sweet school baby shower. I work with the most wonderful 2nd grade team (Tami Scott, Paige Repult, and Lynda Bullard). They were so sweet to throw such a thoughtful shower! I just loved the cake and Ben and I are so blessed to have gotten so many useful things for our sweet Baby Curtis!

Weekend Away

Last weekend my sweet husband and I decided to go on a little getaway. We went to Florence, Alabama for a weekend of golf (for Ben) and the spa (for me)!! I was pleasantly surprised when Ben told me that he had scheduled a massage and facial for me! Perfect gift for my big momma self! After a relaxing day we headed to Ricatoni's for dinner. This was a wonderful Italian restaurant suggested to us by our great friends Katie and Talmadge Ray. It was such a perfect weekend. Great weather for the pool, great food for the tummy, and the best company (the love of my life and soon to be father of my child) . If you ever get a chance to stay at the Marriott in Florence we highly recommend it!

Our Nephew Conner's Dedication

Last weekend Blair and I were able to spend the weekend with my sister(Jenny) and my brother-in-law(Zack). Saturday the boys played golf at the Robert Trent Jones while Blair and Jenny ran errands around Birmingham to get ready for Conner's big day. Zack's brother Tyler was also in town so he played golf with us and joined us for dinner Saturday night. Sunday was a special day for our family as Conner the first grandchild in our family was dedicated to be raised in a Christian home. We can't wait for Conner to meet baby Curtis.
